2015 Ultraman Worlds - Day 1

The 31st Ultraman World Championship begins its 3-day triathletic circumnavigation of the Big Island of Hawaii with kayaker guides leading an ocean swim 10 kilometers south from Kailua Pier. The 40 aerobic enthusiasts continue their Day 1 pilgrimage with a 90-mile bike leg that features nearly 8,000 feet of climbing. This year’s jaunt included spots of hard rain and concluded with a 4,000 foot climb into a stiff headwind.
