We look back at the 2008 Ford Ironman World Championship images of Timothy Carlson and can't wait to go back there and report from the 2009 event on the Big Island.

Thunderbear Torbjorn Sindballe crushed it on the bike, but sadly we won’t see him back racing in Kona
Neither Normann Stadler nor Chris Lieto had the race they had hoped for
Craig Alexander on the other hand had a perfect day
Chrissie Wellington with a Blazeman roll at the end of her race
Linsey Corbin crossed the line in 5th place

The running shoes of the top 10 women in Kona
Chrissie Wellington and Sandra Wallenhorst ran sub 3 hours at the 2008 Ford Ironman World Championships and finished 1st and 3rd respectively. We looked closer at the shoes which carried them and the other top 10 female finishers through the marathon. 10.19.08
