Challenge Roth 2012 - day 1

The expo at Challenge Roth 2012 started today at noon, and we have snapped a few images from our first day on the ground in Germany.

On Sunday more than 3200 individual athletes plus 600 relay teams will toe to the start line of the ETU European Long Distance Triathlon Championships in this beautiful region.

Records tumble at Challenge Roth
Andreas Raelert stormed to an amazing 7:41:33 at the 2011 Challenge Roth in Germany and Chrissie Wellington went 8:18:13, finishing well clear of all other females and 5th overall. Both athletes went well faster than the previous best times for this distance. 7.10.11
Henning, Lidbury win Half Challenge Fuerteventura
Rasmus Henning used a home court advantage of sorts and stormed to the win at the 2012 Half Challenge Fuerteventura in 3:57:16. Brit Emma-Kate Lidbury grabbed the women's title in 4:32:41. 4.14.12
