The Champion in the Tunnel

The 2013 Ironman 70.3 World Champion Melissa Hauschildt went to the wind tunnel at the Specialized facility just a day after the race and we were there.

Meliisa Hauschildt was a trooper in the tunnel despite the hard effort the day before.

Chris Yu and Mark Cote explain the testing in the tunnel to Melissa and her husband.

The bike as Melissa had raced it is in the tunnel.

Chris Yu gives some final instructions.

Melissa is 1.65m tall and rides an XS S-Works Shiv.

Melissa also tried on the McLaren helmet.

Back to work in the tunnel and in Melissa's case the Evade helmet actually made more sense.

This is how Melissa Hauschildt used to race her bike in a 70.3 event and understanding now that it cost her 10 watts at 40kmh, she won't go back to this setup. She will use the FuelCell instead.

Local media showed up to interview the World Champion.

Throughout the test Melissa Hauschildt was a good sport and very curious.

After the testing was done Chris Yu and Mark Cote went over the numbers.

Beautiful weather awaited the World Champion outside.
