2011 Interbike - day 1

The 2011 Interbike trade show in Las Vegas opened its doors today at the Sands Convention Center and it felt quite busy. It was actually rainy early in the morning but that did not really matter as all activities took place indoors.

We looked at bikes from Crumpton, Quintana Roo, BMC, NeilPryde, Devinci, BMC, Ritte and Bianchi, a new wetsuit from Nineteen, GoPro mounts from K-Edge, high end shoes from Gaerne and much much more.

Nice product placement by Shimano and Pearl Izumi at the registration desks.

The Crumpton road bike in the Fairwheel Bikes both was very light and had a nice collection of parts.

These EE cranks were especially interesting on this Crumpton.

The Headsup System warns folks with gear on the roof rack from entering the garage.

Quintana Roo introduced a few new color options on the CD0.1.

The Nineteen Rogue wetsuit has quite a few interesting features and attention grabbing graphics.

These Energy Drops are a new product for Cytomax.

The G-Air is a new model for Gaerne and comes in 2 colorways. MSRP around $450.

The Devinci Leo SL is quite a looker.

The slightly louder BMC Timemachine TM02 option.

Busy times in the Endurance Conspiracy booth.

Ritte is a California brand with a Belgian influence and some interesting paint schemes.

The NeilPryde Bayamo will come in road and TT versions but is still a ways out.

Retul has a new fitting bike for which they are taking orders right now, but most likely only 15 wlll be built.

The Tifosi Altar starts at $59.95.

David Zabriskie and Ryder Hesjedal were very popular during their autograph session in the Camelbak booth.

The wooden rollers in the Surly booth were quite a riot but some folks like Eric Sovern were quite agile on them.

The Giro Savant weighs 262 grams and retails for $90. But it looks well more expensive.

The Bianchi Oltre looks especially nice in this stealth option.

K-Edge has crafted some very cool and beautiful GoPro mounts.
