Vernay and Van Vlerken win Challenge Roth

Ironman Australia winner Patrick Vernay (NCL) won the 2008 Quelle Challenge Roth and held of a host of tough challengers. Pete Jacobs (AUS) was second and Torbjorn Sindballe finished third. Yvonne Van Vlerken (NED) managed a new world best time of 8:45:48 enroute to her win in the women's race. Erika Csomor (HUN) and Gina Ferguson (NZL) rounded out the podium.

Vernay and Wellington fly in OZ
Patrick Vernay repeated his title at Port Macquarie and now has 3 Australian Ironman titles to his name. Chrissie Wellington meanwhile proved that her win in Hawaii was no fluke and took the women's race at Panther’s Ironman Australia 2008 and 9th place overall. 4.06.08
Vernay and Paul win Ironman Western Australia
At the 2007 Ironman Western Australia, Patrick Vernay was on course to break 8 hours and Charlotte Paul smashed the old course record. 12.02.07

The Female World Best time of 8.45.48 should be recognised as the fasted Ironman Distances Time. For if any one going for the record is going to be focesed on this time now and the Official Ironman time will not even enter ones mind, So please IRONMAN Corp. consider this when you are looking at iron distance record. Its all the same distance. Now for kona.
