We Noticed: Tabayesco, Dimond...

This week we noticed a popular Tabayesco spot thanks to Horst Reichel's Instagram account, the Jordan Rapp Dimond frame, new Bonk Breaker Chews, an interesting sheet set discovered by Sebastian Kienle, the new Brasil Ironman social media focus and a fun t-shirt we all understand, but is only available briefly. Also, Loch Gu Loch is now open for entries.

The Tabayesco pee stop for cyclists

The 9.6km Tabayesco climb on Lanzarote is very popular for cyclists visiting that island, and I recently featured it when Uplace-BMC pro Will Clarke did a hill repeat session there. I however never noticed the very quiet and private 4U2P spot that is right at the base of that climb. I actually hung out there and took pics, but on the wrong side of the wall. But thanks to the Instagram account of German pro Horst Reichel we now learned about it and can share it with all of our readers. How did we live without that knowledge before?

Jordan Rapp's Dimond frame

Jordan Rapp signed up to ride for the Dimond brand moving forward and he thus joins several other pros who will ride on that popular beam bike envisioned by TJ Tollakson and brought to reality by the crew around David Morse. The folks at Dimond just finished the custom Rappstar themed frame and this is a first look at this black and white frame. We will have a full gallery on our site when that bike is built up, but for now it is not even in the hands of Rappstar yet. So you get to drool over it here first.

Bonk Breaker Chews

Bonk Breaker is well known for their energy bars but now the brand is also offering fruit flavored gummi chews. With this new offering the brand will likely reach a larger audience, as energy bars are simply not for everyone. Fruit chews allow a parent to have a quick snack for their young ones to take school or after school activities, and these Bonk Breaker Chews are made from organic ingredients and are non-GMO, gluten, dairy and soy-free. Available in Strawberry (with caffeine) and Orange Tangerine.

A pool sheet set

We all have an image in mind when we hear the word pool set, but it likely is not the one Sebastian Kienle recently tweeted about. When you go to bed with these sheets you will likely dream about the black lines too, and possible do a few backstrokes while you are sleeping. We are not sure who makes those sheets, but it is clearly a Euro thing. Otherwise there would not be two covers on such a tiny bed.

Brasil Ironman social media

The Ironman Brasil crew is now really pushing their events through various social media channels with Renata Farah Sturla at the helm adding content. The Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the group can all be found via @brasilironman and word has it that there will be plenty posted in English too. Where do you get your info about these events currently?

Teespring Is MY Bike OK? t-shirt

After a non-serious bike crash we first worry about our beloved bike and hope it has no scratches or dents, then we look around to make sure no one has witnessed the sad situation, and only after those two important acts will we finally look closer at our own bodies, to see if the new kit is all messed up. And finally we will look for blood. This t-shirt from Teespring addresses that exact scenario but you have to hurry and order as the ordering deadline is on February 19.

Loch Gu Loch is now open

We reported on this new race at the end of January and now it is open for registration. Here thus is your chance on September 26, 2015 to do 12 runs with a total distance of 63.5km and 13 swims that total to a 8.5km distance in the Loch Ness area of Scotland. What is not to like about the chance to partner up with a friend, swim a lot and often, and run from one swim to the next with that buddy? But you currently can only apply for a spot. The organizers will accept entries until February 26th, and then they will select the teams. So get on it already.
Entry fee: £400 per team

You can register your team for Loch Gu Loch right here.
