This week we stumbled across the Tough Mudder event, the very fine Honey Stinger Waffle, the Kona Demo Days, the Iron Blazeman song and a concert in Kona.
Tough Mudder
What: You may not have heard about Tough Mudder yet because you were to busy racing somewhere to notice this unique challenge. The event folks call it "the toughest one day event on the planet" and tell you to "forget about your finish time." The events are designed by designed by British Special Forces and money going to The Wounded Warrior Project.

Honey Stinger Waffle
What: The new Honey Stinger Waffle is based on stroopwafels, which have been popular in Europe for a long time now, but especially in Netherlands and Belgium. This editor found them to be the best tasting food item at Interbike. Yum.

Kona Demo Days
What: When you are going to Kona this year and want to check out some of the demo bikes there, the Kona Demo Days facebook page gives you updates not only on what kind of bikes will be there but also which athletes you might meet there.

What: Lead singer Mark Mason of Ampage is joined by Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Rick Allen of Def Leppards, Mark Inglert and triathletes Leanda Cave, Chrissie Wellington, Andy Potts, Matty Reed, Scott Tinley, Bryan Rhodes etc to do an Rock'nRoll Ironman Blazeman song for the big war on ALS.

What: The first annual GU Concert Series in Kona will feature musician Howie Day and is designed for athletes and industry folks to get their mind of the big race on the horizon. Supporting sponsors are GU, Tri Grand Prix, Saucony, TYR, Scott USA, Athlete’s Honey Milk, TriSports.com and BUMP.com.
