2008 USE Tula aero bars

Friedrichshafen, Germany: Better known in the mountain bike world, British company USE first introduced the Tula aerobars at the 2006 Eurobike trade show. The bars bars got quite a bit of attention then as they featured brake levers which were in line with the bars themselves.

For 2008 they now offer the option with pods and brake levers in a more traditional location.

We represent the USE TULA bar in the USA. This modification the the bar with a more traditional brake lever position is an option to the original design and does not replace it. U.S.E. believes the TULA bar with brake levers in line with the base bar is the fastest aero bar in the world with a proven 15 watts of power savings over other designs. USE developed the "pod mods" as an option for people who wished to alter their position depending on what any particular course dictated. We have had customers who contacted us concerned that the original design has changed because of this article and we would be very appreciative if you could clarifiy it or add a related article. I have submitted my comments prior and received no response.

Just a little clarification about your article Herbert.
For the record we believe USE to be as well known in the Road market as the MTB world, especially with the USE ALien Carbon seat post that has been in the market for 5 years or more and continues to be one of the lightest seat posts out there.

In addition, USE has not abandoned the original unique Tula design with the brake levers inline with the base bar. We believe now they have the two fastest TT Bars in the world. The original Tula and now Tula with options! In fact, Cannondale has spec'd the Tula bar on their 2008 Slice Ultimate.

USE is offering the bar shown in the artticle as an option kit to the bar for people who might prefer a different set up. This option will work with any TULA bar already produced or to be produced in the future.
Depending on the course you could have it set up separately to meet your specific needs.
