Aaron Royle's Giant TCR

Aussie Aaron Royle won the 2014 Super Sprint Tri Grand Prix in Las Vegas and I managed to look closer at his Shimano equipped Giant TCR race bike. Royle who won the 2012 U23 World Championship title in Auckland, New Zealand, and the 2013 Fearless Pro Super Sprint in Mission Beach, California qualified as the top seed and then justified that number 1 bib with a superb performance.

While Aaron Royle gave an interview to Universal Sports I moved the bike aside to look closer - with his permission of course.

Aaron Royle is a Shimano sponsored athlete and his TCR was set up with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 components.

I assume the footage of this now full camera will be part of the Universal Sports coverage. Royle also uses an SRM power meter, and maybe once he moves to a PowerControl 8 he will have a color complimenting one.

The Giant logo on the TCR fork is subtle black on black.

A look down on the Giant TCR frame.

The Shimano Tri shoes were still clipped in, an Royle rides 53/39 chain rings on the 165mm Dura-Ace SRM cranks.

Shimano Dura-Ace brakes front and back.

The bike shows signs of heavy training miles, and a zip tie keeps the Di2 cable nice and tight

Royle rides an ISM road saddle.
