Trek Superfly of Sam Schultz

While in Monterey, CA we had the chance to look closer at the Trek Superfly SL Team Edition race bike of US Olympian Sam Schultz of Missoula, MT. If the town sounds familiar, this is also where Ironman champion Linsey Corbin resides. The bike featured here carries Sam Schultz on selected courses and a stock edition of this Superfly could see you through a variety of XTERRA challenges or just some fun mountain bike riding.

Sam Schultz rides a 21" Trek Superfly SL Team Edition.

His bib number at Sea Otter was 9 and the grips are a reminder of his Olympic start.

The Fox Float 29er is very popular among the MTB crowd.

A Bontrager affinity RXL saddle on a Bontrager post is not surprising for this Trek team ride.

A flat does not end your day, and there is no neutral race support following you.

The rest of the flat repair kit is under the Bontrager saddle.

The Shimano XTR drivetrain is ready for Short Track action.

XTR cranks, front derailleur and pedals.

One cage shall do for this short event and the Di2 battery is for the Fox iCD fork control.

Bontrager wheels and tires complete the package here.
