Tim Reed's Challenge Dubai Felt

Tim Reed ended up in second place at the 2015 Challenge Dubai but he won the hearts of many folks. Here now is a closer look at his Shimano equipped Felt IA race bike he used in Dubai yesterday. We had looked at his machine in Kona last year, but he again has made some changes.

The Felt IA of Tim Reed the day before the race - ready for action.

Because of his 3rd place in Bahrain Reed started in Dubai with bib number 3. He though decided to mount his Von Drais race number with tape and not with the provided mount.

Reed has no opted for the standard Torhans bottle, versus the AeroZ he had in Kona.

The view from above shows how narrow his extensions are at the front.

The fork of the Felt IA features integrated brakes.

In Dubai Reed raced a C75 front wheel and in Kona it was a C50. The front tire is a 25mm Schwalbe One, but Reed said he wanted a 22mm there, but it did not arrive in time.

165mm Shimano cranks with an SRM power meter and Atomic Performance coated rings.

Reed raced Dubai with a Shimano Pro AeroFuel TT saddle.

The cage was mounted via zipties, and that is how Reed has handled it now for a while.

The storage unit of the Felt IA was stuffed with goodies for the race day.

The Shimano Pro Disc in the back had a Schwalbe One 26mm tire on it.

Reed relies on Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 electronic shifting.
