Matt Hanson's QR PR6

Enjoy this closer look at the Quintana Roo PRsix race bike of Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas champion Matt Hanson - the fast running and riding man with the golden ticket to Kona. "I spent a great deal of time in the lead up to IMTX working to optimize my position and aerodynamics as much as possible. I was pleased to see how well my power was expressed as speed on race day," said Hanson to slowtwitch.com when asked about his setup.

The proud pilot and new North American Ironman Champion next to the very clean Quintana Roo PRsix.

Hanson rides 170mm FSA K-Force light cranks with a Power2Max power meter and SRAM 55-42 rings. The BB features CeramicSpeed bearings.

Hanson has a Profile Design BTA bottle and SRAM brakes and shifters on his TriRig base bars with Profile Design extensions. He rides a HED GT3 wheel up front with a Zipp Tangente SL Speed 24mm tire.

The 'multicultural' cockpit as seen from the front.

TriRig brakes give this QR PRsix a very nice aero profile.

Hanson rides a Cobb JOF 55 saddle that is pushed far back. He also has two XLab Gorilla XT cages mounted below.

The TorHans bento box has space for food and the cables apparently.

CeramicSpeed pulley wheels on the SRAM Red derailleur and an 11-25 SRAM 11 speed cassette. Hanson rode a HED Jet tubular disc with a Zipp Tangente SL Speed 27mm tire in Texas.

The reminder to ride tactical apparently was heeded well.
