Osymetric chainrings

Several Pros in triathlon and in road cycling love the Osymetric chainrings from the small French brand and obviously the same is true for various amateurs. Many folks though have griped that Osymetric rings are flat as a pancake and that they are thus charging way too much money for their product. The new Osymetric rings however feature ramps and pins and look much more advanced and no longer have that stamped out of a cookie sheet feel. Available in 4 and 5 arm versions.
Sizes: Various
MSRP: $164 each

Anne Haug's custom painted Canyon

In draft legal races it is usually very tough to see the bikes and that is a shame as many of the bikes have been lovingly prepared and customized for battle. German Anne Haug will begin her 2014 WTS campaign aboard the custom painted Canyon Aeroad CF that is pictured below and we certainly approve of the artwork. But for Haug this isn't just a new paint scheme, she recently established a relationship with this German brand and will thus be brand new to all of it.

WTS 2014 season starts

The 2014 World Triathlon Series actually kicks off this coming weekend in Auckland, New Zealand and most of us are not able to watch the event in person. But we luckily need not to miss out as we can follow the live action from a variety of devices with great expert commentary and speedy action. Plans for the whole season are as low as $27.57 and single events can be had for less than $7. So get on it, you surely won't regret it. Plus if you happen to live within reasonable travel distance to one of these, there are still open slots in many of them. That allows you to test yourself on the same ground as the Brownlees, Javier Gomez and Gwen Jorgensen and company.
Starts: April 5, 2014
MSRP: $27.57 for a season pass

BlendTec Designer series WildSlide

We have had a variety of blenders in our home and more recently mostly used the NutriBullet for its simplicity and small counter top footprint. But many times we felt the NutriBullet just wasn't strong enough to make smoothies smooth enough and often times just struggled to blend some stuff. That all changed when we got our hands on a BlendTec Designer Series WildSlide version and it impressed us very quickly. Stuff that was previously still left in little bits and pieces was now smooth as silk and we also did not have to shake, rattle and roll the BlendTec as we had to do with other ones we tried before. The BlendTec is also very fast, and on the menu there are quite a few preset buttons so you just select and the BlendTec handles it for you. We have not yet blended our phone, marbles or the toy cars of my kids, but the temptation has been there. The BlendTec is a bit loud though, so best not start blending your smoothie when the rest of your household is already or still sleeping.
Colors: Champagne, black, cream or red.
MSRP: $449.50

The optional Twister Jar fits on the BlendTec base and allows you to handle tougher stuff such as nut butters.

Endorphin Supply 140.6 t-shirt

I personally prefer a bit more subtle t-shirts and I do not live vicariously through triathlon, but my taste and preferences should not get in the way of items that appeal to most triathletes. And I would suspect that most long course athletes would enjoy to brag a little with that distance they train so hard for and sacrifice family and friends for. Endorphin Supply also has other designs along those lines.
Colors: Multiple
Sizes: S-XL
MSRP: $26
