This week we look closer at the Lazer Helium helmet, the Bex Runner core cooling device, the book Not Dead Yet and a sunscreen from Soléo.
Lazer Helium
What: This Lazer Helium is not a brand new item but a helmet we finally had a chance to play with. The adjustability of the Rollsys® Retention System is impressive and the helmet profile is quite narrow, so it doesn’t look like you got a pumpkin on your head. The Helium also features good ventilation and a magnetic closure called the Magic Buckle.
Colors: black, white, red-white, red-white-blue, pink-black
Weight: 290 grams
Sizes: XXS-S / M-L / XL-XXL
MSRP: $229
Website: lazerhelmets.com

Bex Runner
What: Conrad Stoltz recently ran across the finish line of the ITU Cross World Championships cooled by Bex Runner. You too can get your hands on one or two of these reusable palm-sized cool-gel-pads seemingly effective for up to one hour to draw heat from the core.
Sizes: S, L
MSRP: $29.99 each
Website: betterexerciseexperience.com

Not Dead Yet
What: Today the book Not Dead Yet hits the book shelves and online stores and this Philip Southerland memoir tells the story of fighting Type 1 Diabetes and racing at the professional level. Southerland is truly an inspiration and this book would make a great gift.
MSRP: $25.99
Website: teamtype1.org

Soléo Sunscreen
What: Soléo Organics is an Aussie brand of sunscreen and it is now the time of year in the Northern Hemisphere when you really have to protect yourself in that regard. Don’t make the mistake though thinking that you got 30+ and thus are covered for the day. Apply often.
MSRP: $18.50
