General Information

General Information: Jim at Cyclemetrix has attended not one, but several different fitting schools. This gives him a very broad base of knowledge in fitting techniques and protocol. That knowledge base, plus the experience gained by doing over 300 bike fits is what you get with a fit at CycleMetrix.

CycleMetrix has a dedicated, and well equipped fitting area, with the specialized equipment and necessary tools on hand to get the job done. We have over 100 stems, 50 saddles, and numerous seatposts, cleat wedges, handlebars and aerobars on hand to dial in your fit on your new or existing bike. We don?t have a wind tunnel?.yet. But we can make arrangements to get you into one.

Bike fitting sessions usually last around 90-120 minutes depending on how much work has to be done. Follow-up with the rider is paramount in the days and weeks after the fit is complete. Some real ride time is often required to put a new position to the test and on occasion further minor adjustment may be necessary.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
