Rappstar’s 5th Annual WBR Charity Challenge – Grand Prize

This is our fifth article about this year’s World Bicycle Relief Charity Challenge. If you’re unfamiliar with the Challenge and how it works, you can take a look at the first article HERE .

The second article is HERE.

The third article is HERE.

And the fourth bonus article (5-for-5) is HERE.

How are we doing so far? In twenty-four days, we’ve raised nearly $21,000! Many thanks to those who have already made generous donations. We’re off to a great start, but we still need your help if we want to surpass our $70,000+ raised last year – to hit a giant $100,000 in 2013! By raising that much money this year, we will be putting 746 WBR bicycles into some very well deserving hands.

As in past years, you can donate ANY amount, but ONLY donations of $134 or more (the cost of one bicycle) will make you eligible for prizes. However, we do not want to dissuade those who cannot afford a large $134+ donation! Every little bit helps and we often raise a significant amount in $10 or $20 donations.

To enter the challenge, you can donate online at the URL below.

NOTE: There is a separate site this year that is for Canadian donators ONLY; all other nationalities should use the standard site above.

Canadian donation site: HERE.

You can also submit donations via traditional mail at this address:

100% of your contributions are tax deductible and will be directed back to World Bicycle Relief.

Thanks for your support and commitment to WBR!

This week, we are unveiling our GRAND PRIZE. My bike sponsor, Specialized, worked with the generous help of World Bicycle Relief to offer the Best. Prize. Ever.

One lucky person will take home a 2014 Shiv Tri frameset, decked out with a slew of parts from SRAM, Zipp, and Specialized. Winner picks their frame size and all major component specifications.

MSRP of the frame is $2,950 USD, but the value of the full bike is over $10,000.

Specs:

-2014 Shiv Tri OSBB frameset (winner picks size)

-Frameset includes proprietary aero seatpost, fork, and brakes

-Choice of 303, 404, or 808 Firecrest wheels (tubular or carbon clincher) with Zipp Tangente tires and inner tubes

-Full SRAM Red 10-speed drivetrain – shifters, cranks, bottom bracket, brake levers, derailleurs, chain, and cassette (choice of R2C or standard shifters, crank length, chainring size, cassette size)

-Choice of Zipp Vuka Stealth aerobar or Vuka Alumina Clip, wrapped in Zipp bar tape (choice of stem length and extension shape)

-Specialized Sitero Expet Gel saddle

-Pedals not included

Again, HUGE thanks goes to both Specialized and WBR for putting this prize together for us. All parts will be specified by the winner and shipped to their local bike shop of choice for the build (cost of the build is included in the prize). Roll around town in some serious style, all while helping a wonderful cause! We only have a few weeks left in the Challenge, so let’s keep the donations coming!
