2014 Interbike - day 1

The 2014 Interbike show opened today with 2 days of Outdoor Demo activities at Boulder City, Nevada and meanwhile inside the Mandelay Bay convention center the tedious job of booth setups is on the way.

BC stands for Boulder Canyon and not British Columbia, and the area is best suited for mountain biking.

Some folks really went fast on the trails but were agile and in control.

Boa Closure offered folks these custom colored Boa snaps as a gift.

The Shimano booth was very busy as everyone was curious to see and touch the new electronic XTR group.

To get a shot of one without curious fingers on them is actually something very special.

The Turbine is meant to help you breathe better and it opens up your nostrils once inserted.

The Turbine in its place.

Riding makes thirsty, and here a test pilot refilled his Camelback bladder with strawberry lemonade from Nuun.

We bumped into Chriis Kemp at the Outdoor Demo. The Aussie who currently resides in Las Vegas has been plagued by injuries.

Hot action in the Quintana Roo / Litespeed booth. One PR6 coming back and another going out.

Dick Chartier from Bike Fix outside of Cincinnati is about to experience a QR PR6.

In the reflection of these Smith Optics Dolen Chromapop lenses you can see bad weather looming.

It appears that the name of this Felt bike is very descriptive.

Folks could sample Justin's Nutbutter at Outdoor Demo - hopefully before dust got on them.

Coming back up the hill after a road test.

What goes down, must go up is also true for this Fuji Norcom pilot.

By lunch time the angry clouds were straight above the Outdoor Demo venue.

Giving it the stick on the straight section at the base below the Outdoor Demo area aboard an Argon18 E118.

This guy on the Scott Plasma 5 gave the bike also a very earnest outing.
