Michael O'Neil and his ethos team produced the Boston Tri earlier in the summer giving New Englanders a new big city race and rounded out their event series with another bucket lister, Lobsterman Tri, in Freeport, Maine, more widely known as the home of L.L. Bean.

700 athletes from 30 states made their way to Freeport, Maine to race with ethos. Here racers make their way to the swim start at Winslow Park.

On this day Casco Bay looked stunning and calm.

The bike course goes along the scenic coastline of Freeport and Brunswick and includes a series of challenging hills.

The rolling terrain on the quiet country roads also passes through pastures.

The run leaves Winslow Park and heads into the quaint town of South Freeport.

Plenty of support out on those roads too.

This homeowner went with their gut feeling and hosed this athlete down.

A post-race lobster bake. They do it right in Maine.

Overall winner Lucas Pozzetta took home a painted lobster buoy award as well as dinner.

This couple from Zoom Multisport chose Lobsterman Tri as their wedding venue and here share a champagne toast at the post-race party. We were told 45 members of the 90-person wedding party competed in the race.
