NZ Olympic triathlon team complete

With the addition of Shane Reed and Andrea Hewitt, the New Zealand Olympic triathlon team for Beijing is now set. Additionally, Terenzo Bozzone and Nicky Samuels were named as reserves.

Reed and Hewitt now will join Bevan Docherty, Chris Gemmell, Sam Warriner and Debbie Tanner in Beijing to represent New Zealand in triathlon.

"The New Zealand Olympic selectors are satisfied that Triathlon New Zealand has undergone a robust, transparent and fair selection process in nominating the final two athletes to the New Zealand Olympic Team to Beijing," said Mike Stanley, New Zealand Olympic selector and added "The athletes named today will complete as one of our strongest triathlon teams at an Olympic Games yet. They've demonstrated their ability to finish in the top 16 at Beijing 2008 and meet NZOC selection criteria. We're delighted to welcome them to the team."

Should any of the male starters not be able to compete due to injury, Terenzo Bozzone will be able to stup to the line. Should any of the female competitors fall ill, Nicky Samuels will have the opportunity to represent.
