The Challenge is going strong, and we’ve collected over $30,000 so far. That’s a great start, but we’re about to inject some real horsepower in to this campaign as we head towards the big race in Kona.

I don’t normally plug my sponsors on Slowtwitch, but this one deserves it PLUS a pat on the back. Recently, Specialized (my bike sponsor) came to me with an offer: For one week, we will match all donations up to $30,000. You read that correctly.

Between Monday, October 7th and the end of the race in Kona on Saturday, October 12th, Specialized will match all donations for our WBR Fundraiser, up to $30,000!

This year, the midnight finish in Kona will be just a little bit sweeter. Okay, a LOT sweeter. World Bicycle Relief and I cannot express our thanks enough for this wonderful outreach that will give us a huge boost to our $100,000 goal.
