Introducing the Parlee Altum R

While we perused the many halls of the 2014 Eurobike show we stumbled upon the very beautiful blue Parlee Altum R bike and decided to look closer at the bike that replaces Z5i and weighs in around 800 grams. One big design goal was to allow this bike to accept wider tires, and up to 28mm should be possible. MSRP for the frame set is $3999.-

Just as we set up this bike it started to drizzle, but that took nothing away from this beautiful bike.

The front end of the Parlee Altum R allows for different rider stack options.

The bike at the show was set up nicely at the high end with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 components and Enve Composites wheels.

The seat cluster of the Altum R is very clean.

Parlee's logo is on the underside of the downtube, so be sure to table top it when riding past a cycling posse.

The view from above shows a second color on the inside of the rear triangle. The grey seen there is roughly the paint offering of the other stock color of this bike.

The drizzle stopped fast but had left its marks. But the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 derailleur ain't scared of a bit of water.

The cable port is very clean on the Altum R.

Previously the fork on the Z5 was an Enve one, but this one is a Parlee fork.

A Fizik saddle on top one of the Parlee post offerings. The other one is straight.

A Shimano Dura-Ace crank completes the component package.

Another look down the lines of the Parlee Altum R.
