Daniela is a great example of "If it doesn't work for you, don't use it." I say this because over the last couple of years I have seen Ryf go away from partnerships because some of the small things just don't work for her personally. I think that is very smart.
You will notice this with some of the bike components that are ready to take her on the Queen K for her Kona quest on her race day.
One thing is obvious: most of her Felt bike works for her. She has been with Felt for a while now and has been on the next generation IA for 18 months or so.
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows: she doesn't use the top tube water bladder system; it hits her knees. It is also why I hear she doesn't use Shimano Cranks -- issues with clearance on her ankle or heel. Needless to say, though, the bike looks fast and ready to go.
Ryf uses the X-Lab Torpedo Versa 500 (in pink!), tucked neatly between her bars.
Little personal touches are seen in several places on her bike.
Ryf's saddle of choice is a Selle Italia Gel flow and keeping the color consistent with the Xlab Gorilla XT Cage.
Breaking away from the rest of her drivetrain, it's a Rotor 56 tooth crank.
Shimano Di2 is her choice for shifting and braking.
She will run one bottle cage in the down tube section.
Ryf's wheel choice this year is the DT Swiss ARC 1100 - 60 mm deep in front, 80mm in the rear -- with Continental GP5000S tubuless tires.
As for pedals, it's the Keo Blade Carbon Ceramic, weighing in it a mere 110 grams.
