Course Info: SavageMan 70 Aquabike consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 55.7 mile bike. On the bike, the Westernport Wall and the tradition of bricks in the wall for those who clear it cleanly, continue with the SavageMan 70. The Westernport Wall and the Westernport Wall Block Party is an experience unique to triathlon with a 31% grade lined with screaming, cowbell-ringing crazed spectators.rnHow many opportunities do you have to be permanently immortalized in triathlon history? All athletes who successfully make it up the Westernport Wall cleanly will have a brick engraved with their name laid into the Wall for future Savages to ride over and fall onto!rn(Note 1: Relay teams do not get bricks, sorry. Note 2: Please read the Westernport Wall Rules rnThe crossing of the Eastern Continental Divide at Big Savage Mountain, a 7.2 mile, 1950′ elevation gain ascent with multiple, extended stretches approaching 20% is, without doubt, the most Savage climb in all of triathlon. How will you compare to Philip Grave's record ascent of 30:32? This event features a Finisher?s Tri-Blend Crew Style T-shirts(Shirts will be given out at the finish Line), Custom Race Socks, Finisher?s Medals, Professional DJ, Bounce House and a post race meal. Aquabike and Relays are also options during the registration process.!rnWater Temperature: The water is expected to be in the mid to upper 60?s.rnThis event features a Tri-Blend Crew Style T-shirts, Custom Race Socks, Finisher?s Medals, Professional DJ, Bounce House and a post race meal.
Runs from Sept 13-15, Savageman is renowned as one of the hardest courses in the world. There are three options offered, they approximate swim/run prologue, sprint, Olympic and long course events. The distances listed are for the Olympic. Prize money will be for the lowest combined time of the Prologue, Olympic and Long Course, check out the website for more details.

More: Cut Off Times:rnAll athletes must complete this race within the 8 hour time limit. Cumulative cut off times for the individual disciplines are as follows:rnrnSwim: 1 hour and 15 MinutesrnBike: 5 HoursrnRun: 6.5 hours (lap 1), 8 hours totalrnrnRace management and medical personnel reserve the right to pull any athlete from the course if it appears that they are not sufficiently trained to complete the remainder of the course in the allotted time and in a safe manner.rnrnRace Informationrn-This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. Click HERE for a brief description of common USAT rules and how you can avoid getting a penalty in this event.rn-This event allows a one time deferral of your registration to the following years event. Athletes can do this through their profile by paying a $20 deferral fee until the Tuesday prior to the event your entry to the following year.
