Registration fees included or disclosed up front?: Not specified whether registration/convenience fees are added. Course Info: The swim starts and finishes at the Sunapee State Park beach.
Length: 1500 meters ? single triangle configuration loop marked with yellow and orange buoys.
Wetsuits: This event will follow USAT regulations in regards to wetsuit use, however, they are not mandatory
Bike Course: The Olympic ride begins with a right out of Sunapee State Park, skirting the initial rotary on continuing onto Rt 103. The route turns right on Rt 11, bringing athletes through the lakeside town of Sunapee. A right onto 103A bring riders all the way back to center Newbury for a brief ride on Rt 103 back to Sunapee State Park. The route features exclusively right hand turns! (Length: 36k)
Run Course: The Sunapee Tri features a course configuration on lakeside roads. Exiting transition, athletes head up the Beach Access with out & backs on Bay Point Rd and Rt 103-B. Athletes will enjoy a flat course with a mix of dirt roads, paved roads, beautiful foliage, and a gorgeous lakefront finish!
Length: 10K (6.2 mi) ? a flat and fast, spectator-friendly, double 5k loop course alongside Lake Sunapee. Run Aid Stations: Aid stations will be available with Gatorade, water, Untapped energy, and bananas.
More: As a USAT sanctioned event, results will be submitted to USA Triathlon and all individual finishers will be ranked within their competition category nationally. All individual athletes will be required to chose one of the following categories to compete within. Swim waves will be compiled from category so that like category athletes compete directly with one another. Athletes who change swim wave will have their competition category updated accordingly.
Elite ? Elite athletes start and wave 1 and will only be eligible for overall awards
Age Group ? All athletes wishing to race against their same-age and gender participants. This category will make up the bulk of participants.
Clydesdale ? Men 220+ lbs
Athena ? Women 165+ lbs
Novice ? For athletes more comfortable starting in the final swim wave. Novice athletes are not eligible for age group awards.
