A day at Hincapie Sports

We recently spent a day at Hincapie Sportswear with the Hincapie Development team in town for training camp and several Pro triathletes joining them for a few days.

Hincapie Sportswear is in a cool brick building not too far from downtown Greenville, SC and last week it served as the base for the Hincapie Development team training camp and Pro Tour rider George Hincapie. The second half of the week triathletes Ben Collins, Chris Foster and Drew Scott joined them to get in a few miles on the bike with some fast young guys and to get more familiar with their new clothing sponsor.

Hincapie also sponsors triathletes Anna Cleaver and Gwen Jorgensen.

It is quite obvious which company is located here.

George Hincapie chatting with Chris Foster and Ben Collins prior to a nice hilly 100 mile ride in not so cozy temperatures.

Chris Foster's Felt has the right color scheme to blend in nicely with the Hincapie Development BMC team bikes.

AJ Meyer is actually quite a good triathlete himself, but he is all about the road right now.

George Hincapie was the first outside and ready to ride.

Slowly everyone is outside so the ride can finally roll out of town.

It is good to have a helping hand close by.

The chase to catch the group is on.

It is much better when the whole group stops for a minute.

A few other cyclists had tagged on to the ride.

The influence of George Hincapie is visible in Greenville, there are quite a few BMC bikes floating around.

In the office it shows that George has been hard at work for quite a few years.

Kirk Flinte the creative and interactive director with a pair of Hincapie jeans, and he is actually wearing a pair too.

Drew France is the director of the custom clothing program.

Art stuff for the marketing department is handled by Taylor Vandiver.

A small conference room is towards the back of the office.
