In 2011 a few hearty souls decided to run up the steep slopes of a ski jumping hill and now you can find Red Bull 400 races in several countries. The first event took place in Tauplitz, Austria, but now you can compete in one of these tough events either in Germany, Finland, Austria, USA and Canada. One of the most famed ones takes place in Planica, Slowenia and below is a video of 400 meters of absolute pain and suffering.

It is very steep, and smart technique is an asset here. Winning times here are typically a bit over 5 minutes.
