Below are the 50 retailers in the U.S. who've done the best job at servicing triathletes, according to Slowtwitch's polling of the vendors and customers of shops across the U.S. in the run, bike and tri specialty sector. Slowtwitch started with a list of more than 800 stores, paring it down to a list of between 300 and 400 stores it deemed finalists. A ballot containing all of these shops was sent to a list of 75 vendors in the tri, bike, footwear and accessory vendor communities.

Also figuring in each store's overall score are certain milestone or signature accomplishments or designations, such as the carrying of brands of particular interest to triathletes; fit and service certifications; and the ownership of certain classes of tooling or infrastructure.

The top-10 vote-getters will be honored at the upcoming Triathlon Business International (TBI) Conference January 25-27 in Marina del Rey, California.
