Our first Slowtwitch Road Show takes place just under 4 weeks from today, at Inside Out Sports in Cary, NC (followed a day later by a Road Show at Podium Multisport in Atlanta).
Slowtwitchers in Road Show areas: Get ready for an election-year, campaign-style barrage from all participating stakeholders if you're within spitting distance of a Road Show. Vendors, coaches, clubs, and race directors will be pestering you and you pretty much have me to blame. I have called in all my favors, redeemed my chits, in order to produce the very bestest show we can.
That means clinics, demos, raffles, food, and in most cases a B double-E, double-R-U-N, Craft Beer Run.
I ( Slowtwitch publisher and Slowman on our Reader Forum) will attend most of Slowtwitch Road Shows. Note that the Boston Road Show takes place on the same date as the TriMania expo in Boston. TriMania and Slowtwitch have thrown in together. A part of the TriMania show floor has been given over to the Road Show, and the Slowtwitch Road Show in Boston will take place both at and in TriMania as well as across the street at Landry's Bike Shop in Boston.
Not all these vendors will be at every Road Show. You all will know well in advance which vendors will be at which Road Shows, and the itinerary for each show.
Finally, I'm a big one for prescriptive protocols and the tools required to make them work. If you want to test saddles, goggles, aerobars, footwear, or you want to be properly fit aboard your bike, or you want to know with precision exactly which bike to buy, set up which particular way, based on your fit coordinates, we'll be heavy on these at Slowtwitch Road Shows.
