2014 U.S. Cyclocross Nationals

The final day of the 2014 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championship featured a demanding, world class course, thousands of cheering spectators, sunny skies and great performances by elite winners Jeremy Powers and Katherine Compton.

Margell Abel of Boulder (#63) charges a steep hill and finished 49th.

Winner Jeremy Powers (#3) had the inside line on the elite men’s start.

Arley Kemmerer (#6) finished 11th and Sunny Gilbert (#18) finished 14th.

Daniel Summerhill (#37) finished 7th and Peat Henry (#67) finished 79th.

Amanda Nauman (#32) finished 13th and Sunny Gilbert (#18) finished 14th.

Elle Anderson (#4) finished 2nd, 49 seconds behind winner Katherine Compton.

Zach McDonald (#5) DNF

Justin Lindine (#9), coming out of the deep ditch, finished 8th.

Katherine Compton (#1) of Colorado Springs, won the elite women’s title in a time of 42:36.

Kristin Weber (#44) finished 30th.

Elle Anderson (#4) of San Francisco finished 2nd and was met with a scrum of reporters and photographers at the finish.
