Croneborg, Granger win China Ironman 70.3

Sweden’s Fredrik Croneborg overcame a 4-minute deficit to Aussie Chris McDonald with a race-best 1:21:43 run to win Ironman China 70.3 by a margin of 5:59. Croneborg fell 11 minutes short of matching Chris McCormack’s 2009 race record established in 113-degree heat.

Australian Belinda Granger’s winning time of 4:42:58 topped runner-up and defending champion Amanda Balding by 44:37.
