Daniela Ryf cruises to 26:52 margin over Alexandra Tondeur.

In a cool down race after her 5th Ironman World Championship victory at St. George this spring, Daniela Ryf finished a near perfect home country day at the races with an 8:59:05 Ironman performance at Thune.

At a Pro Women-Only course, Ryf swam a 51:20 split that was 5:39 better than nearest rival Tara Grosvenor of Great Britain, a 4:43:59 bike split that was 7:59 better than the next best effort by Heini Hartikainen of Finland. And with a 29:27 lead, Ryf cruised home with a 7th-best 3:18:36 marathon – 10:54 slower than Kristin Liepold – to finish in 8:59:05 with a 26:52 margin of victory.
