We were on hand to cover some of the Slowtwitch GOODLIFE Racing Team through the Race Across the West (RAW) last week, and figured now would be a good time to introduce you all to some of the GOODLIFE Nutrition products the team was using during the ride.
With so many nutrition brands on the market right now it would be easy to ask why on earth GOODLIFE Brands decided to start their own nutrition line and enter a packed market. Turns out that the endurance-loving crew behind the company couldn’t help themselves. While many of the products they were using themselves for endeavours like the Race Across America, RAW, Ultraman, the IRONMAN World Championship and various gravel races were good, all too often they found themselves wavering between a product that worked, but tasted awful, or a product that tasted good, but didn’t get the job done. They figured there was no reason they needed to pick between the two.
To add a little context let’s talk about GOODLIFE Brands for just a moment as It’s one thing to decide you are going to create the kind of nutrition products you want to use yourself, it’s another thing to start up a new nutrition company. Here’s where GOODLIFE Brands comes into the picture. Many endurance athletes, especially those who have been in the triathlon space for a while, will be familiar with Certified Piedmontese Beef. The Nebraska-based company started over a decade ago and, over the years, has sponsored a number of athletes and IRONMAN events.
Over the last decade the company began raising and producing Certified Piedmontese BEEF. Coming from Italy thru Canada the delicious, sustainable and healthy beef remains highly monitored through the entire production process “from ranch to fork,” and quickly developed a devoted clientele who appreciated the high-quality products. So why GOODLIFE Brands? Simple – the parent company wanted to offer more than just beef in a box. So GOODLIFE Brands was born. This multi brand company can offer a much wider product offering to its CP’s original D2C consumer base. So while the companies D2C’s business exploded during the COVID years, the company quickly saw the customers needs of getting more then just “BEEF” in a shipment. So, using its personal network with local farmers, they added other animal proteins to their offering. GoodLifeProteins.com was born, and is officially the new home of Certified Piedmontese Beef just adding things like fresh seafood, pork, chicken and other products to the protein mix, along with new ways to shop for the company’s various products.
So back to GOODLIFE Nutrition
Healthy lifestyle choices and helping people become their best athletic selves is a priority for the people behind GOODLIFE Brands, so creating GOODLIFE Nutrition was an easy extension for the partners involved in the nutrition company. With the centralized warehouse and shipping resources already in place, starting the nutrition company didn’t require the huge expense that other companies looking to get started might face.
So what was it that the folks at GOODLIFE Brands felt was needed in a market that’s jam packed with nutritional products and supplements? The goal was to be able to create scientifically backed products made with clean ingredients and a company you can trust. The products needed to both do the job while also tasting good.
During the Race Across the West, athletes needed between 6,000 and 7,000 calories a day. So, while Chef Zach was busy making sure athletes and crew members were getting plenty of solid food, athletes had plenty of options for easy liquid calories.

So far the company has launched five products with a total of 14 SKU’s
Carbs – Carbohydrate and Electrolyte Drink Mix
Electrolytes
Endurance Recovery
Essential Amino Acids
Protein
“Flavor fatigue is something we are trying to solve while giving athletes some of the best formulas we know that work. The product line is designed to not only mix and match with flavor, but also within some of lines as well. On a hot day I can take Lemon Lime CARBS and mix in some Raspberry Electrolytes. By building our product line the way we have, we give athletes a lot different flavor combinations” – Eric Wynn
While the product launch didn’t happen until Dec. 24th, 2024 (perfect timing, right?), the products were tested for a year prior using athletes from the Slowtwitch GOODLIFE Racing team, along with a small group of professional athletes. Some of those pros are currently sponsored.

Using products like Cluster Dextrin (Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin (HBCD), Beef Protein Isolate, and Highly effective Essential Amino Acids to build out the stable of products GOODLIFE is exploring the “What is missing” with more products getting ready to launch soon, the company is moving forward towards their goal of creating an ecosystem where athletes can get their Animal Proteins, Supplements and Endurance fuel all from a trusted source.

So what is next for these guys? “We are continuing to take the long approach to help our current and future customers come to one trusted location for not only their protein sources for the dinner table, but also their nutrition and supplement needs. We are thinking Monday to Sunday, Morning to Night. Fuel your Goodlife is our slogan for a common sense approach to a better and healthier life.” – Shane Peed.
