When word got out that the Rohto Ironman 70.3 Miami event had some serious customer satisfaction issues, WTC quickly responded with a press release announcing swift changes and extended a nice offering to those who had raced in the event.

WTC incepts, rescinds Access program

World Triathlon Corporation announced and canceled its Access program within a day. The $1000 program allowed Ironman devotees to move to the front of the registration line.

Courtney Atkinson outduels Kris Gemmell for his third straight win at Australian classic; Ironman Hawaii runner-up Caroline Steffen shows short course speed with Noosa win

Sudrie, Cave win Miami 70.3

Sylvain Sudrie led from start to finish and took the win at the Rohto Ironman 70.3 Miami in 4:00:41. Leanda Cave grabbed the win in the women's race and managed a top ten overall pro time with her 4:21:21.

Tim DeBoom’s long goodbye

We will not see a Tim DeBoom curtain call in Kona, as he vowed 2010 was his last start at the Ironman World Championships. During his Kona career, DeBoom posted two wins, a 2nd a 3rd, a 4th, and two 10ths.

The inspirational Rajesh Durbal

Orlando resident Rajesh Durbal recently finished the Ford Ironman World Championships in 14:19:12, a performance that is quite amazing for a triple amputee. We noticed Rajesh in Kona and finally had a chance to talk with him.

Andy Tompkins talks Interbike

It is now confirmed that Interbike will stay in Las Vegas and keep that familiar time slot. Previously it was announced that the show would move to early August and Anaheim, CA and we had a few words with show director Andy Tompkins.
