Kiwis Bevan Docherty and Nicky Samuels won the 2010 Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon that was changed to a 5k run, 40k bike and 10K run duathlon after an apparent tragic incident yesterday.

Texas wins for Lieto, Tisseyre

Chris Lieto used a monster 2:08:04 bike performance and a solid run to take the 2010 Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake race in Lubbock, Texas. Magali Tisseyre ran down fellow Canadian Angela Naeth to take the women's title.

Llanos, Berasategui win European LD

Spain's Eneko Llanos outran Martin Jensen of Denmark by 1:26; Virginia Berasategui completed an all-Basque home region sweep with a 4:16 margin over Great Britain's Jodie Swallow at European long distance champs in Spain.

Kiwis win Eagleman 70.3

Terenzo Bozzone ran down Andrew Yoder to win the 2010 edition of the 70.3 Eagleman and thus successfully defended his title. Fellow Kiwi Sam Warriner also had a great race and took the women's title leading from start to finish.

Snowsill is back indeed

Emma Snowsill rocked to a win with a fantastic come from behind performance at the 2010 ITU Hy-Vee triathlon cup and earned $200,000 in the process. Emma Moffatt was second and Helen Jenkins rounded out the podium.

A rich win for Tim Don

Brit Tim Don bolted away from his competitors early on in the run to win the Hy-Vee ITU Elite Cup event in Des Moines, Iowa and a $200,000 check. Kiwi Kris Gemmell was second and Aussie Courtney Atkinson grabbed third.
