Regan Hollioake’s Trek Speed Concept is Ready for her Kona Debut
Australia’s Regan Hollioake is only a couple of years into her pro career, but has already racked up three full-distance wins. The 36-year-old surged into the triathlon world’s awareness when she set a new amateur best time of 8:52:51 at IRONMAN Western Australia in 2023.
She began her pro career with a fourth-place finish at IRONMAN New Zealand last year, then began her winning ways at IRONMAN Australia and would also take the win at IRONMAN Malaysia, too. She arrives in Kona after having won in New Zealand to start the year, followed by a fifth-place finish at IRONMAN Cairns and ninth at IRONMAN Lake Placid.
A former competitive swimmer, Hollioake turned to triathlon after a long day spent watching her partner compete in a 70.3 race in Australia. She would beat him in their next race together, and from that point on her triathlon career has taken off, leading to this, her first appearance at the IRONMAN World Championship.
