Have a Look at Gustav Iden’s Giant Trinity — Can it Lift Him to Another World Title in Nice?

Norway’s Gustav Iden arrives in Nice as one of the pre-race favourites. The 2022 IRONMAN world champion struggled to regain the supreme fitness that saw him win his first world title here in Nice (the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship), then defend that title in 2021 before taking the win in his debut IRONMAN in Florida. He struggled over the next few years, though, dealing with his mother’s death and injuries.
This year has seen Iden steadily build back to that fitness level, though. A third-place finish at 70.3 Oceanside, along with a fourth at the very-competitive IRONMAN Eueropean Championship Frankfurt, along with a solid summer of training with countrymen Kristian Blummenfelt and Casper Stornes, has given him the confidence that he can be competitive here in Nice on Sunday.
He will need to ride well if that is to happen – something he looks to do on his Giant Trinity.

Iden is riding the Giant Trinity Advanced SL — the same frame he rode in Kona last year. For his wheels, he has opted for the Cadex Max Aero disc on the rear and the Cadex Aero 4-Spoke.

Iden is using the Ride Sync Aerobar 3 extensions.

Iden will be riding with a Shimano Dura Ace crank and Shimano Dura Ace 12-speed groupset. (Chainrings: 58/ 44, 170 mm cranks, Shimano Dura Ace pedals.)

He has a pair of Tririg hydration mounts — one in the cockpit and the other in the rear.

Tracking Iden’s data is a Garmin Edge computer.

Maurten has been Iden’s nutrition sponsor for several years now.
This will be my next bike purchase, once I can afford one. Had a sit on one and it fits me perfectly, feels great. The previous trinity was a beast so if this comes close then it is a winner for me.
I have not seen him on a bike all year I think.
He still in that superman fit?
Liked the look of that Tririg bts adapter so went on their website, but wow, over 300$ for a couple of pieces of aluminium?! How is that possible?!
