Jones, Goss take Kansas 5i50

After lightning forced cancellation of the swim, Jordan Jones of Golden, Colorado topped the men’s race and Lauren Goss of Clermont, Florida won the women’s crown at the Kansas 5i50 impromptu duathlon in Lawrence.

Parienko, Oliveira top Huatulco

Artem Parienko of Russia came from behind on the run to beat Luciano Taccone of Argentina and Pamela Oliveira of Brazil held off a late charge by Lisa Perterer of Austria to win the ITU Huatulco World Cup.

Middaugh, Paterson take XTERRA

Josiah Middaugh stopped Conrad Stoltz’s 6-race streak and Lesley Paterson beat Melanie McQuaid to capture the XTERRA Southeast Championship in Shelby County, Alabama.

Al-Sultan, Möller win Lanzarote

Faris Al-Sultan of Germany won by 9:48 over Miquel Blanchart of Spain and Kristin Möller of Germany took control on the bike and finished with a sizzling 2:58:37 run to win Ironman Lanzarote.
