Docherty, Groff win Beijing International

Bevan Docherty of New Zealand and Sarah Groff of the United States won the men’s and women’s elite titles Sunday at the inaugural $100,000 Beijing International Triathlon in southwest Beijing, China.

Carter, Hammond take MetaMan

Aussie Brett Carter took the win at the full distance MetaMan Bintan in 8:43:58 and thus earned the lion share of the $60,000 prize purse. Kiwi Candice Hammond grabbed the women's title in 9:31:08.
