Lucy Charles-Barclay’s Cube Aerium C:68X is a Must-See Ride

Lucy Charles-Barclay won the Ho’ala Training Swim in Kona earlier this week, and although the IRONMAN World Championship is still a few days away, she has already secured her second win of the week, as she has what has to be the coolest bike design on the Big Island. She is riding her go-to steed, the Cube Aerium C:68X — an already nice bike that the team at Cube has made even cooler with a Kona-inspired paint job.
Charles-Barclay is of course the reigning champion here in Kona. After missing out on Nice entirely last year, she has returned to the Big Island with the goal of repeating as IRONMAN world champion. Nothing is ever promised or a sure thing in triathlon, but there is one certainty: her bike is fast, and if she puts herself in a good position on the 112-mile bike course on Saturday, she will have a great shot at running to the win after T2.
Here’s a closer look at her spectacular ride. Unfortunately the paint job is one of one, but the rest of the bike’s makeup is replicable (although you might not be as quick as she is).- Ben Snider-McGrath

Charles-Barclay has chosen a “Mermaid on Fire” theme for the bike.
