The Cervelo S5 VWD

We currently have a Cervelo S5 VWD test bike here but before we write about the ride and feel of this aero machine, we took a closer look at the details and components of the bike in hand. This S5 is equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di-2 components, Rotor cranks, a Fizik saddle, Vision wheels and a 3T cockpit.

A detailed report will follow.

The Cervelo S5 looks fast standing still.

The dropped downtube hugs the front wheel quite nicely.

The fork on the S5 strikes a nice balance with the fame.

The seatpost binder is nicely tucked away..

We could have easily opted for a 56cm here, but decided on a 54cm.

With the aero post there are quite a few adjustment options.

The Shimano Di-2 battery is placed under the non-drive chainstay.

For our purposes we won't mess with this Di-2 Junction A, but it could be cleaned up quite nicely.

Rotor cranks with non-Q chainrings from this long time Cervelo partner.

A Fizik Arione saddle came with the S5 and that suits us quite well.

We still have quite a few adjustment options here.

Fizik bartape and the nicely sculpted Shimano Dura-Ace Di-2 controls.

Our test bike came with Vision Team 30 wheels and Vittoria Rubino Pro Slick tires..

Is this the view that most of your competitors get?
