Olympic silver medalist Javier Gomez of Spain won the XTERRA World Championship in his first off road triathlon and Lesley Paterson of Great Britain repeated at Maui with a dominating, mistake-free race.
Jesse Thomas ran down Andrew Starykowicz to take the win at the inaugural Rev3 Florida event that had been converted into a duathlon. Becky Lavelle grabbed the title in the women’s race about 90 seconds up on Nicole Kelleher.
Terenzo Bozzone had a tough fight on his hands at the 2012 Ironman 70.3 Miami event, but in the end came away as the winner. 2012 Ironman World Champion Leanda Cave stormed to the win in the women’s race.
Andy Potts reeled in TJ Tollakson late in the run to win the 2012 Ironman 70.3 Austin. Rachel McBride from Canada used a strong swim – bike combo to take the win in the women’s race.
