Norseman Speedster: Kristian Grue’s Felt IA 1.0

He’s finished second here twice times (to go along with seventh at his first appearance in 2019), so you can guess which spot Kristian Grue would very much like to take on the podium tomorrow here at the Norseman Xtreme triathlon. The Norwegian long-distance star has already had a busy season, fighting at the front until the halfway point of the marathon at IRONMAN Lanzarote (he pushed the pace too much, too early and would eventually fade to 16th), bouncing back with a Nice-qualifying third-place finish at IRONMAN Austria, and now gearing up for his big goal for 2025 – the Norseman.
Grue certainly knows the course and, as a former biathlete, has no qualms about being cold, so he’s ready for challenging conditions. Here’s a look at his ride for tomorrow’s race – the Felt IA 1.0.

Up front there’s a DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut wheel that’s 85 mm deep.

For the rear wheel Grue has gone with a Duke Lenticular Baccara Hurricane X Disc. In terms of tires he rides Continental GP5000 TTs – 25 front and 28 back.

Grue rides 170 mm Dura Ace cranks. He’s riding 57/42 chainrings and has Assioma Favero pedals to gauge power.

Shimano Dura Ace derailleurs keep shifting smooth and accurate.

Grue has the FAST TT Aero bar coupled with FAST’s BTA mount.

Felt’s additional storage helps for nutrition along the way.

Grue uses the Selle Italia Watt saddle.

All smiles as he gets ready for the big day tomorrow.
