I noticed this bike during the bike check-in for the 2014 Little Debbie Ironman Chattanooga and decided to snap a few images for a gallery. It was the only age group bike I spent more time with, and initially I thought it might be Eric Hinman's Dimond. But that made little sense and as it turned out it was the race bike of the fastest age grouper in that race - Christopher Borden from Haleyville, AL. I also suspect, but can't be sure, this fast man is likely a slowtwitcher.

A bike like this Dimond is always an attention getter and it was very lucky to have no other bikes racked up nearby.

The Dimond is a bike dreamed up by TJ Tollakson after having ridden a few other beam bikes, and came to reality with smart engineer David Morse.

Borden's cockpit is a 3T Ventus II LTD that matched the UCI illegal frame nicely.

SRAM Red shifters and a zip tied Garmin mount keep things simple.

The XLab Gorilla cage on the bars is also ziptied.

Borden runs a TriRig Omega brake which is stock on the Dimond bike.
