The Bikes of Sarah Haskins

We take a look at the bikes of triathlon star, Sarah Haskins. She is sponsored by Fuji, and rides their Altamira for drafting races, and the D6 for non-drafting.

These photos were taken in July 2012 at their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. According to her husband, Nate Kortuem, Sarah is currently in her peaking phase for key races such as the Chicago triathlon and Hy-Vee Championship.

While she unfortunately had a narrow miss of the 2012 London Games, Sarah still rides her ITU bike for some specific training sessions, such as climbing repeats. The bulk of her high intensity interval rides are done aboard the D6, given that her primary focus for the remainder of 2012 is non-draft.

The D6 features a unique rear brake system.

Two bolts keep the seatpost secure.

When in doubt - just electrical tape that bottle in to place.

There's a lot going on with Di2 wiring, brake cables, Garmin mounts, and hydration...

...But it manages to stay fairly clean-looking overall.

Sarah prefers to angle the shifters so she can operate both buttons easily with her thumbs.

This bike has 172.5mm Rotor-Quarq cranks and Sampson pedals, too. Note the Di2 battery placement.

This crew looks ready to race - Sarah, Nate, her two bikes, and their Toyota Camry hybrid.
