Happy about a good swim, or that the swim is over, or just happy in general? We are not sure.



Meredith Kessler had a solid day in every discipline.



The volunteers are absolutely ready for action - all day long.



Markus Fachbach looked solid on the bike but ended up having issues on the run.



Viktor Zyemtsev lost too much time on the bike to the front runners in Arizona.



Once on the bike, Meredith Kessler put her had down and gave it the stick.

22-year old German Marc Duelsen on the way to 7th place in Arizona.

Colorado resident Uli Bromme managed 7th place in the women's race.

Heather Jackson biked 4:47:07 and that was best among the female Pros. Jackson in the end finished 3rd.

Head down on the way to 14th place among female Pros for Sarah Jarvis.

Jordan Rapp's 4:14:03 was the race best bike split and that was earned hard.

German Maik Twelsiek had the second best bike split and worked hard to catch up to Rapp on the run.

For Brent McMahon things looked great. He had a solid swim and was in striking distance after the bike.

Clemente Alonso McKernan was running in fourth place, having been beaten into T2 by Brent McMahon.

Twelsiek caught Rapp briefly but Rapp pulled away again.

Amanda Stevens was running in fourth place.

Meanwhile up front Meredith Kessler had gained a massive advantage and would not be caught.

Heather Jackson chased hard but in the end it was third place.

Canadian Brent McMahon was meanwhile racing to a sub-8 hour time and his first Ironman title in as many attempts.

Jordan Rapp was still running in second place here and desperately tried to hang on to McMahon to see if he had gone too hard.
