Wiesbaden 70.3 race images

Impressions from the 2015 Ironman 70.3 European Championships in Wiesbaden, where Boris Stein and Camilla Pedersen were victorious.

Anticipation before the swim start.

Boris Stein took charge on the bike with a race best 2:15:51.

Andreas Raelert on the throttle in Wiesbaden, but his 2:22:30 was not enough to beat Stein.

Richie Cunningham did not have a great day, and after a 2:31:44 split ended up in 18th place.

Kevin Collington, in his first outing on a Ventum, rode 2:24:19 on the way to 5th place.

The pro field spread out nicely across the German countryside.

Michelle Vesterby rode 2:48:59 in Wiesbaden on the way to 5th place.

Radka Vodickova is now riding a Liv Giant, and she ended up in 6th place.

Swiss Celine Schaerer rode 2:55:03 and ended up 12th pro.

Camilla Pedersen's 2:40:31 was not race best, but close enough to be in a winning position.

German Anja Beranek rode a race best 2:39:48, but had to settle for the runner-up spot.

Boris Stein flying along during the run with a solid lead. He ran 1:16:51 to close out his day.

Andreas Raelert's 1:13:45 was not enough to reel in Boris Stein, and it wasn't the fastest run split either.

Swiss Ruedi Wild had the race best split with a 1:13:37 and that gave him 3rd place.

Antony Costes in the foreground surprised a few people with his 4th place day. He ran 1:14:40.

Belgian Alexandra Tondeur ran 1:24:19 to capture 3rd place.

Her 1:19:05 run was impressive, but Kristin Möller was too far back after the bike.

Boris Stein was overjoyed as he crossed the finish.

Camila Pedersen took the win in 4:36:04.
