A Blue Wind Tunnel day

Blue Competition Cycles went to the A2 Wind Tunnel with Ironman Champion Heather Wurtele, Indy Car driver Alex Lloyd and fast Belgian age grouper Pieter De Neve.

For the 2-time Ironman St. George winner Heather Wurtele from Canada this wasn't the first time here in the A2 wind tunnel in North Carolina plus she already had quite a bit of time on her Blue Triad SL, but she left today with a few small changes that should save quite a bit of power moving forward. British Indy Car pilot Alex Lloyd actually got set up on his Triad SL in the wind tunnel and felt quite comfortable after his session there. Last up was the super skinny Belgian age grouper Pieter De Neve who had been fit quite nicely in Germany and really didn't too much help here.

There is quite a bit of stop and go during a session, but Heather Wurtele was very patient.

Mike Giraud changed out the aero bars during the session

Without the derailleur cable in place Mike Giraud uses this gadget to set up a specific gear.

Heather Wurtele meanwhile has time to chat and check email.

Her Blue Triad SL picked up a new friend.

After racing the 550 Indy Car in Texas last weekend Alex Lloyd visited the A@ tunnel before his race in Wisconsin next weekend.

Listening to final instructions in the tunnel.

Lunch is a very important part of the wind tunnel day.

Alex Lloyd was ready to cut down the chin strap of the new helmet, but for the test that did not matter as long as it stays the same. But after the test for sure.

The custom touched up Triad SL of Pieter De Neve.

This man in tall and weighs in at just about 130 pounds.

After his race at the Eagleman 70.3 Pieter still shows sun burn signs of the War on ALS logo worn during the race.

These Gaerne Tri shoes are not very common in the USA.

This Lazer Tardiz helmet isn't his own, but the Belgian doesn't live too far from that company.

Done and ready to move on.

Time for Heather Wurtele to pack her gear into the Blue van to return to Atlanta.

Another good day for Mike Giraud and Chance Regina.
