Lebrun, Erbenova in Switzerland

Nico Lebrun and Helena Erbenova grabbed the wins at the 2012 XTERRA Switzerland Championships. Lebrun took charge of the race during the run and Erbenova moved to the front of the race with a race best bike split.

Nico Lebrun also had a superb bike time but when he reached the bike-run transition he had Asa Shaw, Ben Allen and Olivier Marceau right with him. So Lebrun had to use a race best run split to capture the win and with it the XTERRA European Tour title.

Erbenova started her day 3 minutes behind the swim leaders Jacqui Slack and Marion Lorblanchet, but her race best bike split was 4 minutes quicker than the next fastest Pro and that allowed her to start the run in the lead. Erbemova closed out her day with a top run and eared the win with a an almost 4 minute advantage. The victory also gave the fast woman from the Czech Republic the XTERRA European Tour title.
