Paul Matthews of Australia and Alicia Kaye of Clermont, Florida won the men’s and women’s overall titles at the 5i50 Series Memphis in May Olympic distance triathlon on a new course at Harrah’s Resort Tunica in Robinsonville, Mississippi.
Matthews finished in 1:49:46 with a 1:35 margin of victory over runner-up David Thompson of St. Paul Minnesota and 2:45 over 3rd-place finisher and amateur overall winner Jay McCurdy of Auburn, Alabama.
Kaye finished in 2:03:15 with a 1:35 margin over runner-up and fellow pro Sarah Gray of Cypress, Texas and 1:40 over third place finisher and overall amateur winner Christina Person of Boulder, Colorado.
